Congratulations to ‘YMCA Fylde Shark’s Disability Swimming Club’ who were named overall regional winners for ‘Services To Under-represented Groups’ at the Active Lancashire Sports Awards.
The club which offers one to one swimming lessons to disabled children and young people have been recognised for their work with children with complex physical disabilities and social, cognitive and behavioural needs.
The club allows children to enjoy swimming lessons with a qualified swimming teacher providing both mental stimulation and improved physical mobility.
The Lancashire Sports Awards which took place on Friday 22nd November celebrate sporting achievement and showcase best practice throughout the County and pay tribute to those who work tirelessly to support individuals or club’s week in, week out, for the love of Sport.
