Updated: 22nd September 2020
Following today’s government announcement regarding ‘indoor team sports’. We can confirm this rule does not apply to fitness, leisure activities and group exercise classes that have been through COVID-secure protocols as we have.
People can continue to use our facilities, including gyms and pools, and classes within within our centres as they are now. The new rule does mean that people should not arrive at our centres socially in groups of more than six or congregate in groups of six or more in the centres, especially after a class.
We will of course keep you updated should this change and as we receive any more information from the Department for Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) and industry partners.
Announcement: 11th September 2020
Following the Government’s announcement that social gatherings of more than six people will be banned in England from Monday 14 September, the Government has confirmed that organised sports, fitness and leisure activities that have been through COVID-secure protocols can continue.
People can continue to use our facilities, including gyms and pools, and classes within within our centres as they are now. The new rule does mean that people should not arrive at our centres socially in groups of more than six or congregate in groups of six or more in the centres, especially after a class.
We have a large amount of space to use, stringent plans and risk assessments in place to reduce the risk of COVID-19, and therefore we are classed as COVID-secure, given the measures we have introduced.
